Morrisville, PA Automotive Technician 20 - 65

A-Level Automotive Technician Wanted (The Kind Who Actually Likes Fixing Cars)

This is not a slow shop.
A busy, well-established independent repair shop is looking for an A-Level Automotive Technician who knows their way around diagnostics, can fix a car start-to-finish, and takes pride in doing things right the first time.

This shop has been serving the same community for decades. Customers are on a first-name basis. The work is steady, the bays stay full, and the reputation matters. If that sounds like your kind of place, keep reading.

What This Technician Does

  • Diagnoses and repairs vehicles independently, from intake to final test drive

  • Handles complex diagnostics (check engine lights, HVAC issues, drivability concerns, electrical, mechanical repairs)

  • Works on a mix of European and Asian vehicles (European experience preferred)

  • Keeps productivity high without being micromanaged

  • Uses downtime wisely and stays engaged

  • Contributes to a team that values accountability and craftsmanship

What They’re Looking For

  • True A-Level Technician (or strong B+ who’s clearly on that level)

  • Typically 7–10+ years of hands-on experience

  • Strong diagnostic skills and confidence solving problems solo

  • Reliable, consistent, and professional

  • Someone who shows up, works hard, and wants to be there long-term

Dealership techs who are burned out and ready for a better pace and environment are encouraged to apply.

The Shop Environment

  • Extremely busy, well-run independent shop

  • Air-conditioned and heated work space

  • Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends)

  • Five bays, five lifts, steady workflow

  • Strong customer relationships and long-term employee history

This is a place where good technicians stay for years.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary position (not flat rate)

  • $80,000–$105,000, depending on experience and ability

  • Medical insurance

  • Paid holidays, PTO, and vacation time

  • Paid training and certification reimbursement

  • Raises and growth based on performance, not promises

The right technician will be taken care of.

Who Should Apply

This role is for a technician who:

  • Wants stability, not bouncing shops

  • Takes pride in diagnostics and quality repairs

  • Works with urgency and purpose

  • Is tired of fixing other people’s mistakes

If that sounds like someone you know (or sounds suspiciously like you), this could be the right next move.
