Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $45 – $50/hr (Hourly + Bonus)
Earning Potential: $95K–$105K+ annually

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring a Master-Level Diagnostic Technician for a high-performing, family-run shop in Centreville, MI.
This is a rare opportunity for a true diagnostic expert — someone who wants to focus on electrical, drivability, and module issues without the R&R work. You’ll be the go-to tech for scan tool use, testing procedures, and high-level problem-solving.

This is a Monday–Friday role with no weekends, consistent hours, a supportive team, and a production bonus that rewards accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on all makes and models

  • Handle all electrical, drivability, and module-related diagnostic work

  • Collaborate with B/C techs who will handle most R&R work after diagnosis

  • Utilize factory-level scan tools and scopes (Snap-On Triton D10, etc.)

  • Complete DVIs and repair documentation using Tekmetric

  • Support other techs with diagnostic direction when needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace

  • Participate in ongoing paid training (both online and in-person)

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as an automotive technician with strong diagnostic focus

  • State of Michigan Master Technician license (or willingness to obtain quickly once hired)

  • ASE Certifications and L1 Advanced preferred

  • Strong understanding of voltage drop testing, parasitic draw testing, and circuit load testing

  • Comfortable with scan tools, scopes, and module programming

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must pass background check and drug screen
