Quick Lube Service Center Shop Manager

Location- Huron, SD

Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time; some Saturdays required

Position Summary

The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Quick Lube Service Center, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient workflow, and a safe, well-run shop. This role leads the team, drives performance, and ensures company standards and procedures are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day shop operations, including workflow, staffing, and customer experience

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to meet performance and service goals

  • Ensure all services are performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with Valvoline standards

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment; place orders as needed

  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and escalations professionally

  • Track and report key performance metrics such as sales, labor, and productivity

  • Enforce safety policies, operational procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Work some Saturdays as part of the regular schedule

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive service or quick lube experience is a plus

  • Prior leadership or management experience 

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to motivate, train, and lead a team

  • Basic computer skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver’s license
