Position Overview

AutoStream is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor for a busy, well-established independent shop in Harford County, MD. If you enjoy building relationships with customers, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want a clear path for career advancement — this opportunity is for you.

This is a Monday–Friday position with no weekend hours, a strong guaranteed base salary, and the opportunity to earn up to $35K per year in commission. You’ll join a supportive, team-driven shop that values professionalism, performance, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide a welcoming, professional service experience

  • Clearly communicate recommended services and repair needs

  • Prepare accurate estimates and explain repairs in easy-to-understand terms

  • Maintain proactive follow-up throughout the service process

  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion

  • Help achieve shop sales goals while prioritizing customer trust

  • Maintain accurate records using shop management software

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer

  • Strong communication skills with proven sales ability in a shop setting

  • Customer-first mindset with a professional, friendly demeanor

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with shop management systems and estimating software preferred

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: Starting at $42,000 annually
