Automotive Service Advisor

Location: Pasadena, MD
Schedule: Monday to Saturday (rotating 5-day schedule, 8 AM – 6 PM)
Base Pay: $50,000/year
Commission Potential: $50K+ annually
Experience Required: 3+ years in a service advisor role

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor for a fast-paced, full-service repair shop in Pasadena, MD. This is a high-traffic shop servicing a wide range of Domestic, European, and Asian vehicles — with a strong, reliable team of technicians and parts support already in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and build rapport with customers while identifying their service needs

  • Write accurate repair orders and present detailed estimates for customer approval

  • Manage the full service process: scheduling, dispatching, follow-ups, and final delivery

  • Coordinate with technicians and parts staff to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

  • Source parts, track ETAs, and keep customers informed throughout

  • Recommend additional services based on vehicle condition and maintenance history

  • Stay highly organized while managing multiple repair orders

  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a high-volume environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor

  • Strong communication, sales, and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail

  • Experience with RO Writer or similar shop management software preferred

  • Positive, customer-first mindset with a professional appearance

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $50,000/year

  • Bonus Potential: Commission-based earnings up to $50K+ annually
