Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level Automotive Technician for a respected, locally owned shop in Clover, SC. This is a full-time, weekday-only opportunity with strong hourly pay, weekly bonuses, paid time off, and a team that actually enjoys working together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on domestic, Asian, and occasional European vehicles

  • Handle brake, steering, suspension, and mechanical repairs with efficiency and precision

  • Tackle heavy diagnostics and check engine light concerns (this is where A-Techs shine)

  • Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using TekMetric

  • Communicate clearly with the front office to keep workflow smooth and customers informed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace

  • Deliver honest recommendations that build long-term customer trust (no “mystery flushes”)

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills — you fix problems, you don’t guess at them

  • Ability to work independently and consistently flag 40+ hours per week

  • Experience with Autel and Snap-On scan tools

  • Own tools (the good ones you don’t let anyone borrow)

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Must pass background check and drug screen

  • ASE certifications are a plus, but skill and work ethic matter most

Compensation & Bonus Structure

  • $35–$48/hr based on skill and experience

  • Weekly flat rate bonus structure — productivity is rewarded
