Location: Richmond, VA (Southside or West End)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $35 – $40/hr (Flat Rate)
Annual Earning Potential: $100K+
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced A-Level / Master Automotive Technician for a high-performing, award-winning independent shop in Richmond, VA.
This is a flat-rate position with excellent workflow, a strong car count (12 cars per day per tech), and long-tenured teammates who know how to flag hours. The shop specializes in Honda, Toyota, Acura, and Lexus — and is seeking a true diagnostic expert to join their trusted, community-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Honda, Toyota, Lexus, and Acura models

  • Complete jobs including brakes, timing belts, wheel bearings, and general maintenance

  • Maintain 100% productivity and flag 40+ hours per week (new hire benchmark: 10 hours/day)

  • Perform Virginia state inspections

  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members

  • Use AllData and Snap-on scan tools for accurate repair and labor time tracking

  • Keep a clean and organized workspace

  • Uphold high standards of quality, honesty, and customer trust

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as an A-Level or Master Technician

  • Heavy diagnostic experience on Asian makes required

  • Experience at both independent shops and dealerships preferred

  • Virginia state inspection license required (or ability to obtain)

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Background check and drug screening required

  • ASE certifications not required but always a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Flat Rate Pay: $35–$40/hr (based on experience)
