Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician for a well-established, family-owned repair shop in Austell, GA. This is a full-time A Level / B+ Level Automotive Technician opportunity for someone who enjoys diagnostics, takes pride in honest work, and wants to be part of a stable, high-trust team.

This shop is looking for a technician who can step into a diagnostics-heavy role and help relieve a production bottleneck created by the need for a strong mid-to-upper-level tech. If you are confident with electrical diagnostics, drivability concerns, suspension, brakes, and steering repairs, this could be an excellent long-term fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, EVAP system concerns, AND MORE!
• Perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Complete advanced troubleshooting on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
• Use modern scan tools and digital systems to identify issues and document findings
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and leadership regarding vehicle needs and repair recommendations
• Maintain productivity goals of 40+ flagged hours while delivering high-quality work
• Follow shop processes for inspections, documentation, and professional workflow
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician
• Experience at the B+ Level or A Level technician level
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Solid experience with electrical, EVAP, suspension, brake, and steering systems
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented shop environment
• Strong communication skills and a professional, honest approach to repair recommendations
• ASE certifications preferred, but not required
• Valid driver’s license required
