Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00/hr (Hourly) Depending on Experience

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring a skilled A or B-Level Automotive Technician for a trusted, family-run shop in Eaton Rapids, MI. If you’re a strong B Tech ready to level up, or an A Tech who enjoys diagnostics and electrical work, this is your chance to join a low-drama, high-integrity team that values quality work and offers steady hours — all without weekend shifts. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with tool relocation assistance, paid training, and a path for growth as the owner transitions into a shop foreman role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of issues including brakes, suspension, engine, and electrical systems

  • Complete regular maintenance services: LOF, fluid checks, tire rotations, etc.

  • Perform alignments using a Hunter HawkEye alignment rack

  • Use Snap-On and Autel scan tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting

  • Conduct Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric

  • Communicate clearly with teammates and contribute to a positive shop environment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional shop experience as an automotive technician

  • Michigan State Certifications REQUIRED

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Strong diagnostic and electrical skills preferred (for A-Level candidates)

  • Suspension, brake, and maintenance proficiency expected (for B-Level candidates)

  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay:

    • A Tech: $30.00 – $35.00/hr (depending on experience)

    • B Tech: $25.00 – $30.00/hr (depending on experience)
