Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Range: $25 – $35/hr (Hourly + Bonus)
Average Flagged Hours: 40–50 per week

Promotive is now hiring a skilled A or B-Level Automotive Technician for a fast-growing, veteran-owned independent shop in Fayetteville, NC. With a strong focus on diagnostics, integrity, and craftsmanship — this shop is building something different. What You’ll Do

  • Perform advanced diagnostics on drivability, electrical, and intermittent issues using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters

  • Handle bumper-to-bumper mechanical work, including brakes, suspension, HVAC, and drivetrain repairs

  • Use service information and digital inspections (Shop-Ware) to document findings and repair needs

  • Communicate clearly with the service advisor about what the car needs and why

  • Own each job from start to finish: inspect, diagnose, estimate time, and complete to a high standard

  • Work independently, while collaborating with the team when needed to meet deadlines

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Who You Are

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in the automotive repair field (independent shop experience preferred)

  • Comfortable with diagnostics: drivability, CAN systems, electrical, and performance issues

  • Strong work ethic and pride in your craft

  • Able to work independently without being micromanaged

  • A team player who values communication and collaboration

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years (B Tech) or 8+ years (A Tech) professional experience

  • Own your own set of personal tools

  • ASE certifications preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR

  • Must pass background check (no criminal history) and drug screening

Compensation & Pay Structure

  • A Techs: $30–$35/hr

  • B Techs: $25–$30/hr

  • Hourly with production bonus

  • Flagging 40+ hours/week is expected

  • Paid biweekly

  • Top earners exceed $100K annually
