Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $35 – $45/hr flat rate (based on experience & proficiency)
Average Hours Turned: 40–50 per week
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Earning Potential: $100K+

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced A or B Level Automotive Technician for a well-established, family-run shop in Hayes, VA with deep roots dating back to the 1940s. This is a flat-rate position with consistent hours, top-tier pay, and a reputation for integrity and excellent service. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics (A Tech) and mechanical repairs (B Tech) on domestic, Asian, and occasional Euro vehicles

  • Handle jobs such as timing chains, timing belts, brake repairs, steering, and suspension work

  • Use professional-grade scan tools (Autel, Snap-On, Launch) for accurate troubleshooting

  • Collaborate with service advisors using Tekmetric and digital vehicle inspections

  • Keep a clean and organized bay while maintaining a customer-first mindset

  • Uphold high standards of quality and integrity in every repair

  • Ensure vehicle safety and reliability with every service

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an automotive technician

  • A Tech: Strong diagnostic skills and experience with drivability/electrical issues

  • B Tech: Capable of completing most mechanical repairs independently

  • ASE certifications a plus but not required

  • Independent shop experience preferred, open to dealership experience as well

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must be drug-free

Compensation & Benefits

  • Flat rate pay:

    • A Tech: $40–$45/hr (depending on experience)

    • B Tech: $35–$40/hr (depending on experience)

  • Weekly pay schedule

  • Tool relocation assistance available
