A/B-Level Automotive Technician – High-Earning Potential in a Team-Focused Shop

An established, community-trusted independent shop in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains is seeking a motivated A/B-Level Automotive Technician ready to beat book time, deliver quality repairs, and build a long-term career.

Experience with EV and hybrid systems is highly valued, with ongoing training provided.

Compensation

  • A-Level Technicians: $40–$50/hr base + production bonus

  • B-Level Technicians: $35–$45/hr base + production bonus

  • Top Earners: $80K–$120K/year base + performance bonus

What You’ll Do

  • Produce 45–50 billable hours per week in a fully equipped, high-volume shop

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of makes and models with accuracy and efficiency

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs (A-Level)

  • Complete mid-to-high-level mechanical repairs independently (B-Level)

  • Collaborate with experienced technicians in a professional, no-drama environment

  • Complete digital inspections using AutoServe1 with clear documentation

  • Participate in 40+ hours of paid training per year, including EV and hybrid systems

Who You Are

  • An A- or B-Level Automotive Technician with a solid mechanical and diagnostic foundation

  • A – 7+ years Automotive service experience 

  • B – 3+ years Automotive service experience

  • Proven ability to beat book time and manage workflow efficiently

  • Comfortable using scan tools and diagnostic equipment

  • ASE certified or actively pursuing certification (support provided)

  • Smog certification is a strong plus

  • Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented
