Automotive Technician A or Master Level

Location: South Windsor, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay: $38–$42/hr (depending on experience) + up to $300/week in bonuses
Experience Required: 10+ years (A-Level/Master Tech)

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level Automotive Technician for a highly respected, family-owned shop in South Windsor, CT. This shop has been a staple in the community since 1993 and is known for its integrity, top-tier diagnostics, and strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of issues across domestic, Asian, and European vehicles

  • Perform advanced diagnostics using modern scan tools and Hunter alignment systems

  • Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) and communicate findings clearly

  • Stay current with paid, ongoing training and certifications

  • Collaborate with a supportive team and contribute to a positive shop culture

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Provide high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds OEM standards

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as an A-Level or Master Technician

  • Strong diagnostic capabilities — you don’t guess, you test

  • High personal standards and integrity in your work

  • Willingness to learn about diesel and alternative fuel systems

  • Team-first attitude and passion for the trade

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Enjoys working in a laid-back but high-performing environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • $38–$42/hr base pay (hourly, not flat rate) DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

  • Weekly bonus potential up to $300 based on efficiency / productivity
