Automotive Technician B Level (Gas Specialist – Diesel Training Provided)

Location: Westminster, MD
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $28–$35/hr Flat Rate + Year-End Bonus
Experience: 3+ Years Preferred

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician for a highly respected independent shop in Westminster, MD.
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role with no weekend work, competitive pay, diesel training provided, and a collaborative, professional work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of gasoline-powered vehicles and light-duty diesel trucks up to F550

  • Perform standard maintenance including brakes, suspension, alignments, tune-ups, and fluid services

  • Use modern diagnostic tools such as Autel, Snap-on, and Ford IDS

  • Assist with drivetrain and diesel repairs as skills advance through hands-on training

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

  • Communicate clearly with the service advisor and fellow technicians

  • Participate in ongoing diesel training, including emissions, DEF, and fuel injection systems

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience as an automotive technician

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Familiarity with Mitchell 1 or similar shop management software

  • Willingness to learn diesel systems (Power Stroke, Duramax, Cummins)

  • ASE certifications preferred but not required

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-driven

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $28–$35/hr Flat Rate depending on experience

  • Bonus: Year-end performance-based bonus

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends!)
