Automotive shop in Farmingdale, NY searching for experienced Diesel Truck Technicians (A Level) to join their Truck and Car shop. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience working with medium to heavy-duty trucks. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues related to engines, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
What they are looking for:
- Diagnose and repair check engine lights and related issues on medium to heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform repairs on suspension systems, ensuring proper alignment and vehicle safety.
- Conduct steering and brake repairs, maintaining vehicle handling and stopping power.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including wiring, battery systems, and lighting.
- Use diagnostic tools to evaluate and resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Diesel Technician, with a focus on medium to heavy-duty trucks.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment used in diesel truck repairs.
- Proficiency in repairing and maintaining suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot check engine lights and perform necessary repairs.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
