About the Role
A highly respected independent automotive repair and collision group in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Diesel Automotive Technician to join their growing team.
This role is ideal for a seasoned diesel professional—general diesel or European-focused—who excels in diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs. The shop supports a strong mix of diesel work, including Sprinter vans and European diesel vehicles, while providing modern equipment, steady workflow, and long-term career stability.
What You’ll Be Doing

Perform routine diesel maintenance, services, and inspections

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, drivability concerns, and emissions/aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF)

Conduct advanced diagnostics on electrical, engine performance, and network-related systems

Complete complex mechanical repairs, including engine and transmission work

Service light- and/or medium-duty diesel vehicles

Work on Sprinter vans (engine, drivability, electrical, and emissions-related repairs)

Work on European diesel platforms such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, VW, and Porsche (diesel variants)

Accurately document findings and provide clear repair recommendations

Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to maintain efficient workflow

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Stay current with evolving diesel technology through ongoing training
What We’re Looking For

A-Level or strong B-Level Diesel Technician
-
3+ years of professional diesel repair experience
-
5+ years of overall automotive repair experience
-
Strong diagnostic, electrical, and drivability skills
-
Experience with light- and/or medium-duty diesel platforms
-
Sprinter van experience strongly preferred

European diesel experience (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, VW) a strong plus
-
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Professional mindset with pride in workmanship and accountability

Valid California Driver’s License
Compensation

$90,000–$100,000+ base salary, depending on experience and specialization
