Are you a diesel expert who loves turning wrenches just as much as turning minds? Do you get a thrill from helping the next generation of diesel techs master the art of engines, torque, and turbochargers? If so, this might be the perfect gig for you!

We’re looking for a Diesel Instructor who’s ready to trade in their toolbox (okay, maybe not entirely) for a classroom and shop full of eager students. Under the guidance of the Dean of Academic Affairs, you’ll have the chance to shape the future of diesel technology while keeping things hands-on, high-energy, and engaging!

Work Schedule:

Monday – Thursday (That’s right, 3-day weekends!)
Two days: 9 AM – 5 PM
Two days: 9 AM – 10 PM

Daily Breakdown:

9 AM – 3 PMMorning Classes
3 PM – 5 PM Office Hours (No Teaching – Time to prep, grade, and plan)
5 PM – 6 PMDinner Break
6 PM – 9:45 PM Evening Classes

What You’ll Be Doing:

Teaching & Training Deliver top-notch lessons and real-world insights in a way that keeps students hooked.
Curriculum RockstarUse provided materials, tweak them when needed, and bring your A-game to class every day.
Hands-On LearningGuide students through shop exercises, ensuring they master the tools of the trade (and don’t lose any in the process!).
Keeping it Real Teach not just the how, but the why of diesel mechanics, helping students build confidence in their skills.
Student SuccessTrack progress, give helpful feedback, and be the mentor students need to launch their careers.
Professional Development Keep up with industry advancements and maintain your ASE certifications (or work towards them).

What We’re Looking For:

– A High School Diploma, Certificate, Associate’s Degree, or higher.
– At least 3 years of diesel industry experience – if you’ve lived under the hood, we want to hear from you!

 Solid problem-solving and organizational skills (because engines and students both need structure).
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’ll be inspiring the future of the industry!
– Familiarity with diesel technology practices, vehicle maintenance, and industry tools.
– ASE certifications (T4, T6, T8) preferred, but if you’re willing to earn them, we’ll support you.
– Bonus points for knowing Canvas, Gmail, MS Word, and other instructor tools.
