Outside Sales Representative – Heavy Duty Fleet Maintenance & Repair

Compensation: Base + commission (DOE) Earning potential up to $120k

About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage relationships with heavy-duty fleet customers. This role is ideal for a sales professional who understands fleet maintenance, thrives in the field, and takes a consultative approach to helping customers reduce downtime and control operating costs.
You’ll work directly with fleet managers, directors of maintenance, and operations leaders, offering maintenance and repair solutions that keep equipment moving and businesses profitable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and manage relationships with Class 6–8 fleet customers
- Prospect new fleet accounts through in-person visits, cold outreach, and referrals
- Identify customer pain points such as downtime, PM compliance, and labor shortages
- Recommend custom maintenance and repair solutions (mobile service, PM programs, emergency repairs)
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, service agreements, and pricing
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage territory activity using CRM tools
- Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and retention goals
What We’re Looking For
- Experience selling in heavy-duty fleet maintenance, diesel repair, truck & trailer service, or related industries
- Strong understanding of diesel equipment, preventative maintenance, and fleet operations
- Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Consultative, problem-solving sales approach
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based, territory role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organized with excellent follow-up habits
- Results-driven and motivated by performance and commission
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within territory
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with trucking, construction, waste, or municipal fleets
- Knowledge of DOT compliance, PM scheduling, and fleet KPIs
- CRM experience
