The Opportunity

This growing automotive group is expanding fast and needs two A-level diagnostic technicians to join their high-performance team in Grants, New Mexico. The shops are busy, modern, and well-equipped, offering the chance to work on challenging diagnostics while helping elevate overall shop performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair advanced electrical and mechanical issues (CAN bus, module programming, etc.)

  • Deliver consistent production: 40–45 flag hours per week

  • Collaborate with a motivated team

  • Contribute to process improvement and mentor younger techs

  • Help shape the culture of a growing, forward-thinking shop group

What It Takes

  • 5–7 years of professional experience as a diagnostic or master-level technician

  • 8/10+ electrical diagnostic proficiency

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and pride in efficiency

  • “Fair” diesel skill level is fine—no cab-off jobs required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $22/hour (paid if flag hours fall short)

  • Flat Rate: $40–$50/hour for A-level techs; up to $55/hour for master-level techs

  • On-Target Earnings: $70K–$85K annually for top producers

  • Benefits:

    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

    • 401(k) with company match

    • PTO accrual of 1 hour per 19 worked (~105–120 hrs/year)

    • Benefits eligibility after approximately 60 days

Each A-level tech has a path toward becoming a shop manager as the group grows toward its goal of 20 locations in the next four years.
