About Mike’s Motor Zone
Mike’s Motor Zone is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our growing team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We are a high-integrity independent repair facility servicing domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. Operating from a 3-bay, 3-lift shop servicing approximately 45–50 vehicles per week with an average repair order of around $800, we provide a structured, technically driven environment led by a Master Technician serving as General Manager. If you’re looking to strengthen your skills through hands-on mentorship and advance toward higher-level diagnostic work, this is an excellent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform automotive maintenance and light to mid-level repairs, including oil changes, brake service, suspension repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Perform Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emissions testing.
- Assist senior technicians with vehicle diagnostics and more complex repairs.
- Perform digital vehicle inspections and clearly communicate findings.
- Maintain quality workmanship while following established shop processes and workflow.
- Collaborate with the team to provide efficient, high-quality service for domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- Continue developing technical skills through hands-on mentorship and paid training.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent professional automotive repair shop experience required.
- Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection & Emissions License required.
- Strong foundation in automotive maintenance and repair.
- Experience performing brake service, suspension repairs, routine maintenance, and vehicle inspections.
- Comfortable using digital vehicle inspection systems and modern shop technology.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to continue developing technical skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Performance-Based Pay: $20.00–$35.00 per hour based on flagged hours turned and experience.
