A well-established, family-owned independent repair shop in Oakland (serving the community since 1984) is looking for an A-Level Diagnostic Technician to join their tight-knit team. This shop invests in top-tier equipment, values precision over shortcuts, and treats its technicians with real respect.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform advanced diagnostics on a wide range of makes and models

  • Identify and resolve complex electrical, drivability, and mechanical issues

  • Utilize industry-leading diagnostic tools and software (Snap-On, DrivePro, Autoland, and more)

  • Ensure accurate, efficient repairs with a strong attention to detail

  • Serve as a technical resource and lead by example within the shop

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience (A-level diagnostic focus)

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise

  • ASE certifications preferred (not required)

  • Smog license is a plus

  • Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in quality repairs

  • Desire to grow and potentially step into a foreman or leadership role
