A well-established automotive training institution is looking for an Automotive Instructor to join its team and help students shift their skills into high gear. Under the guidance of the Dean of Academic Affairs, this instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the mechanics of tomorrow.
What You’ll Do (Besides Being Awesome)
– Engage students with hands-on training and interactive classroom instruction – because learning should never be stuck in neutral!
– Develop and deliver high-energy lessons on vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
– Demonstrate the safe and proper use of tools, equipment, and cutting-edge automotive technology.
– Keep students on track with assessments, progress reports, and feedback (because everyone loves a good report card).
– Encourage and inspire future mechanics to embrace industry best practices and professional standards.
– Maintain classroom and shop safety – because nothing stops learning faster than a flying wrench!
– Stay current on automotive trends and training methods (yes, we encourage geeking out over the latest tech).
The Work Schedule ??
Work Days: Monday – Thursday (That’s right, enjoy a long weekend every week!)
Hours:
- Two Days: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Two Days: 9 AM – 10 PM (Late-night garage vibes!)
Daily Breakdown:
- 9 AM – 3 PM: Morning Classes
- 12 PM – 1 PM: Lunch Break
- 3 PM – 5 PM: Office Hours (Not Teaching, Just Helping!)
- 5 PM – 6 PM: Dinner Break
- 6 PM – 9:45 PM: Evening Classes
The Perfect Fit
– Experience: 3+ years in the automotive industry turning wrenches, diagnosing issues, or otherwise making cars run like new.
– Education: High school diploma or higher – because we believe in both book smarts and street smarts.
– Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, great communication, and the ability to break down complex systems for students who are just getting their hands dirty.
– Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with industry software, Gmail, MS Word, and Canvas (we promise it’s not that kind of canvas).
– Certifications: ASE preferred or willingness to earn certifications within a set timeframe (G1, A4, A5, A6 – gotta catch ‘em all!).
