Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer intake, repair-order write-ups, and front-counter workflow with minimal supervision.
- Review technician findings and Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) and clearly communicate repair, maintenance, and safety recommendations.
- Build estimates and confidently present recommended services to customers.
- Follow up on declined and recommended work and communicate with customers by phone, text, and email.
- Order parts, monitor expected delivery times, and help ensure technicians have the correct parts before repairs begin.
- Coordinate workflow for approximately three technicians and communicate priorities, approvals, and changes.
- Keep repair orders moving efficiently while properly managing cores and other parts-related items.
- Use Tekmetric and customer communication and follow-up technology to strengthen customer relationships, sales, and workflow.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
- Strong automotive repair and maintenance knowledge.
- Independent repair shop experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand Digital Vehicle Inspection findings and confidently explain recommendations to customers.
- Proven ability to present and sell recommended automotive repair and maintenance work.
- Experience ordering parts, coordinating shop workflow, and managing multiple repair orders and priorities.
- Strong phone and customer communication skills with the ability to work independently and use modern shop management and communication technology.
Compensation & Benefits
- $25/hour base pay plus approximately 3% of Gross Profit.
