Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor for a growing independent repair shop in Belleville, MI. This is a great opportunity for a strong sales-minded advisor who knows how to build trust, overcome objections, and keep work flowing in a busy, technology-driven shop.

This full-time role offers $1,350-$1,600 base per week depending on experience, plus a weekly sales bonus. You’ll join a modern operation with strong car count potential, updated systems, paid training, full-time weekday-style stability, and a clear path for someone who may want to grow into shop leadership or ownership down the road.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, build rapport, and create a high-quality service experience from write-up to delivery
• Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle needs clearly, and translate them into accurate repair orders
• Present maintenance and repair recommendations with confidence and professionalism
• Overcome objections and help customers understand the value of needed repairs and preventive maintenance
• Communicate with technicians to track diagnostics, repair progress, and additional service opportunities
• Prepare accurate estimates for parts and labor using shop management software
• Follow up with customers throughout the repair process and at vehicle pickup
• Support front counter operations, maintain organized records, and help drive shop sales goals

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Counter Sales professional
• Strong sales ability with a proven track record of recommending and closing automotive service work
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and multitasking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced repair shop environment
• Tech-savvy and confident using modern shop software, texting, and digital communication tools
• Ability to work closely with technicians and keep workflow moving efficiently
• Interest in long-term career growth, leadership, or future shop ownership is a big plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred
