Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level Automotive Technician specializing in heavy diagnostics for a well-equipped shop in Dothan, AL. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with strong flat-rate pay, excellent benefits, and consistent workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on a variety of vehicles

  • Identify and resolve electrical and drivability issues (the real problems, not the guesses)

  • Program modules and complete system calibrations

  • Accurately build parts lists based on diagnostics

  • Utilize professional scan tools and diagnostic processes

  • Maintain efficiency in a flat-rate environment while delivering high-quality work

  • Communicate clearly with the team regarding findings and repair plans

  • Keep a clean and organized workspace (because diagnostics is hard enough already)

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with heavy diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting

  • Ability to program modules and work with modern vehicle systems

  • ASE certifications preferred (and supported)

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and stay productive

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits
