Schedule: Monday – Friday
Pay: $40 to $50+ per hour (Flat Rate, Based on Qualifications & Abilities)
Experience Required: 5+ Years Automotive Repair | 3+ Years Diagnostics

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level Automotive Technician for a well-established, family-owned shop in Minnetonka, MN. This is a Monday–Friday role with strong flat-rate pay, full benefits, and a team culture that believes you can work hard and still enjoy where you work.

If you’ve got 5+ years of hands-on repair experience, at least 3 years of serious diagnostic time under your belt, and you’re the tech everyone calls over when things get weird… we should talk.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform advanced diagnostics on electrical, drivability, and complex mechanical issues

  • Repair vehicles bumper to bumper with accuracy and efficiency

  • Use modern diagnostic tools and scan equipment (no guessing games here)

  • Communicate clearly with service advisors about findings and repair plans

  • Maintain a clean, organized bay (your toolbox shouldn’t need its own GPS)

  • Deliver high-quality repairs the first time — because comebacks are not a hobby

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience

  • 3+ years of strong diagnostic experience

  • Ability to handle complex repairs independently

  • Team-first mentality — no lone wolves

  • Strong communication skills and professionalism

  • Highly organized and efficient work style

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record

  • Proven track record of quality workmanship

  • ASE certifications are a plus (and reimbursed!)
