Automotive Technician B Level

Location: Boulder, CO
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $32 to $36/Hourly (Based on Experience)

3+ Years of Professional Shop Experience REQUIRED

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician for a respected independent shop in Boulder, CO. This full-time role offers flat rate pay between $32–$36/hour, a strong benefits package, and a supportive, drama-free team culture. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level tech who’s ready to grow into an A-Level role — and who enjoys challenging diagnostic work on domestic and Asian.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and digital vehicle inspections (DVI) with accuracy and attention to detail

• Diagnose and repair basic to intermediate mechanical and electrical issues (electrical systems, cooling system leaks, steering / suspension, etc.)

• Work on Domestic and Asian vehicles

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality service

• Maintain a clean and professional work environment

• Demonstrate a growth mindset and actively work toward becoming an A-Level tech

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician in professional shop setting

• Experience in independent shops preferred but not required

• Solid diagnostic foundation — especially electrical, steering/suspension, and pressure testing

• Must own a basic set of tools (shop provides specialty tools and scanners)

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

• Motivated self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude

• Willingness to learn and grow with ongoing training
