Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28–$33/hr + Production Bonus
Pay Type: Hourly + Performance Incentives
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring a skilled Automotive Technician (B Level) for a well-respected, independently owned repair shop in Northampton, PA. This is a great opportunity for a technician with solid foundational experience who wants to grow into more advanced repairs while earning strong hourly pay plus production bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general automotive repair and maintenance on a variety of makes and models

  • Complete brake, suspension, tire, and basic mechanical repairs

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and document findings using digital inspection tools

  • Assist with maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid services

  • Support advanced repairs (timing chains, belts, etc.) as skills develop – WILLINGNESS TO LEARN / GROW!

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic

  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to complete repairs independently

  • ASE certifications preferred (not required)

  • State Inspection License HIGHLY PREFERRED

  • Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced repair work

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship (QUALITY over quantity) 

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $28–$33/hr depending on experience

  • Production Bonuses: Additional earnings at 35, 40 billed / turned hours

  • Medical Stipend: $500/month (after 60 days)
