Senior Automotive Service Advisor / Operations Driver – High Volume Shop

Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 5 Days/Week (Saturday availability preferred)
Compensation: Base Salary ($55k – $75k) + Tiered Performance Bonuses (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring a high-performing Automotive Service Advisor for a fast-growing, high-volume shop! This is not your typical advisor role — we’re looking for a proven producer who can drive sales, manage daily operations, and maximize shop performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day service operations, including appointments, workflow, and customer communication
  • Greet customers, assess vehicle needs, and create accurate repair estimates
  • Drive sales by recommending services, increasing ARO, and closing repair opportunities
  • Manage incoming leads, phone calls, walk-ins, and appointment scheduling
  • Monitor and maintain a full calendar to ensure consistent car count and shop productivity
  • Follow up with no-shows, declined work, and previous customers to rebook and retain business
  • Collaborate with technicians and service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by setting expectations and maintaining clear communication

Qualifications

  • 6 – 8+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role
  • Proven track record of sales performance and ability to increase ARO and close rates
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair, maintenance, and estimating
  • Experience managing a high-volume shop environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay productive in a fast-paced setting
  • Familiarity with POS/shop management systems (Shop-Ware, Protractor, or similar preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 (depending on experience)

  • Performance Bonuses / Commission: Tiered based on sales, ARO, and shop KPIs 
  • Annual bonus potential of $35,000+
  • Compensation is directly tied to production, sales performance, and ability to maximize shop revenue.
