Exciting News!
To close out the year, promotive hits the road for FIVE automotive trade shows. From coast to coast, we’ll be connecting with industry leaders, and engaging with passionate shop owners like you.
These trade shows are the perfect platform for us to introduce our services to a wider audience. If you are on the hunt for talented automotive technicians, general service techs or similar positions, Promotive is the solution.
We’re eager to share our passion for this industry and connect with fellow automotive enthusiasts who share our excitement for innovation and performance.
The journey begins in Colorado, at the Ratchet + Wrench Management Conference!

This is an annual event that brings independent automotive enthusiasts together to share tips and tricks for business growth and improvement. A perfect opportunity to meet with our team to learn how we can support your business success.
From there, we hop across the country to Raleigh, North Carolina for the Automotive Service and Technology Expo (ASTE).

A 3-day event in September will provide high-energy training sessions and unlimited amounts of networking opportunities. We even heard there is going to be an electric go-kart experience at the pre-party. Sounds like a party!
After a light break, we are heading to the home of Mickey Mouse for the Accelerate Automotive Training Conference, hosted by the Florida Auto Care Alliance.

Please stop by our booth and say hello! We would be happy to set up a discussion to talk about your current hiring needs.
Following that we are going to check out a small show, you may have heard of. The SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That’s right. From Oct 31 – Nov 3 we will be there to network and connect with shops from around the world.
We are looking forward to these upcoming experiences where it gives us the opportunity to connect with you, and talk about taking your business to the next level. And, also get a glimpse at some amazing cars in the meantime, too.

Why Auto Shops Lose Technicians (and What Hiring Alone Won’t Fix)
Last updated: October 19, 2026 · Auto shops lose technicians mostly for reasons inside the shop: an unpredictable flat-rate board, a bad work mix, a service manager techs don’t trust, missing equipment, no training path and schedules that eat Saturdays. Recruiting adds a second layer: the wrong skill level, slow hiring, an oversold job and…

Losing Techs Before The Interview
Independent auto shops are losing techs before the interview because of slow responses, confusing job posts, and complicated applications, not because technicians found better jobs. Most shop owners think the hiring battle happens during the interview. It actually happens in the 24 to 48 hours after a technician hits “apply,” and right now most of…
How to Hire Qualified Automotive Technicians in 2026 (Step-by-Step)
If you’re trying to hire qualified automotive technicians right now, here’s the short version: know your local pay range before you post, understand market conditions, write a skills based job description, source candidates directly instead of relying just on job boards, vet with a hands on skills check, and move fast once you find someone.…
Speed to Hire Automotive Technicians: Why the First Shop to Call Wins
When it comes to speed to hire automotive technicians, the first shop to respond usually wins. Most independent shops don’t lose techs to better pay. They lose them to slower follow-up. Why does speed to hire matter for auto shops? Good technicians rarely apply to just one shop. They apply to several at once, and…
